Tomorrow night is the first night of Passover. We’ve been very happily busy at work, shipping out hundreds of Passover gifts to you and your family/friends. So, now with the big crunch (get it–like matzah crunch, ha ha) pretty much over I can now focus on the seder that will be at our house tomorrow night.
I decided that this year, we would have a pot luck seder since I don’t have time for all of the cooking, even though I love to cook. We are going to be 18 people, and here’s what we’re having:
Chopped liver on Matzo
Smoked salmon (on more matzo?)
Followed by More Appetizers:
Chicken Soup with Matzo Balls
Matzo Meal and Cabbage
Apple Matzo Kugel
Chocolate Matzo Crunch (recipe below)
Fresh Fruit Salad
Chocolate Spice Cake
Tomorrow, after I go to the gym and walk my dog, I’ll be cooking the apple matzo crunch, making matzo balls (yes, from scratch), setting the table, finding the hagaddahs and generally getting ready. But before all of that I’m going to go find the sun and say the Birkat Hachama and marvel over this momentus and special moment that only happens every 28 years, even though I fully plan to be here for the next one! I’m tired already. A sweet and happy Pesach to all of you!!
